This magnificently restored Sugar House, previously a collection of Grade II listed warehouses from the 1700s, is now home to Hotel du Vin Bristol. Private dining events at Hotel du Vin & Bistro Bristol
Le Pin is an elaborately hand-painted space, inspired by the Austrian Art Nouveau artist Gustav Klimt.
The largest room is Ruinart, tastefully simple with distinctive features such as the building’s original window arches and beams. Lanson, the most intimate room, is situated next to the bistro and lovingly adorned with painted cherubs in the centre of the ceiling. With seating for up to 12 people, this light and airy room is full of character.
For larger groups, the Janneau Bar and Christie’s Library can host dinners for up to 20 people or drinks receptions for up to 120.
Anyone who wants to make a night of it can choose from our 40 timelessly styled bedrooms and stunning suites. They all feature luxurious handsprung mattresses, fine Egyptian linen, deep baths and powerful drench showers, as well as flat screen TVs and air conditioning. Located close to the rejuvenated waterfront in Bristol city centre, the Grade II-listed former Sugar House is now home to Hotel du Vin Bristol and consists of four truly unique meeting and events spaces, Le Pin, Lanson, Balfour & Christie’s Library with its own private Janneau Bar.
Function Rooms The Balfour is the largest of our function rooms, a simplistically rustic space with distinctive features such as a high-vaulted ceiling, original window arches, hand painted ‘trompe l’oeil’ and oceans of natural day light. With its own private ante-room and secluded roof terrace, Balfour is ideal for dinners of up to 72 guests Le Pin is an elaborately hand painted ‘gold’ room inspired by the Austrian Art Nouveau artist Gustav Klimt and is suitable for up to 36 people.
The Lanson, our most intimate room is situated adjacent to the bistro and is lovingly adorned with painted cherubs within the centre of the ceiling. It is perfect for seated dinners of up to 12 people. Christies Library and/or the Janneau Bar can be used as lively backdrops to pre-dinner drinks and after party chill-outs. The space can cater for drinks receptions of up to 100.
