Shawarma Bar launched on the lively Exmouth Market in Islington in 2016, marking the second venture from The Berber & Q Food Group.

Our inspiration stems from Levantine-cafe culture, with our menu drawing from the diverse flavours of Middle Eastern and Eastern Mediterranean cuisines with rotisserie-cooking at the heart of the offering.

Private dining at Shawarma Bar

Shawarma Bar’s partially-secluded back room is elevated and separated from the rest of the restaurant and enhanced by exposed brick and soft lighting, exuding a warm atmosphere, whilst the back wall is fully-mirrored to expand the sense of space.

The room can accommodate up to 28 guests, made up of a mixture of banquette seating and chairs and is available for private hire or large format dining, as a dedicated space for celebrations or parties.

To private hire the back room for the entire night there is a minimum spend of £3,000 (exc. service charge) from Sunday to Thursday, or £3,500 (exc. service charge) on Friday and Saturday.

The room can be partially hired for a 2.5 hour sitting for a minimum spend of £2,000 (exc. service charge), either from 5.30pm to 8pm or from 8pm until close.

Our back room is also available for private hire over lunch, with a minimum spend of £1,500 (exc. service charge).
