At Otto’s, it’s personal and when you enter the unassuming door for Otto’s on Gray’s Inn Road, in the Bloomsbury area in London, it’s all at once like entering an eclectic home or a Parisian dining room from long ago.
The walls painted green like absinthe are adorned with iconic images a film stars.
You kind of expect Toulouse Lautrec to be tucked a corner somewhere, depicting the scene.
‘Otto’s French Restaurant’ opened in 2011, although it has the feel of a place that has long been established, like an institution. The co-owners’ objective is to provide their guests an unforgettable restaurant experience…
Private dining events at Otto’s restaurant
Otto’s private dining room space feels far removed from the daytime bustle of the city above and you give yourself over to the alluring draw of room’s opulent and decadent clutches.
The scene is set, and the table dressed; the painted walls, green like the head of a Mallard, provide an atmospheric backdrop to Otto’s private room catching the light of the flickering candles and of the dimmed bistro lamps overhead.
Our private dining space can cater for parties from 12 guests up to 32 guests. We can seat up to 24 guests on one table, and up to 32 on three tables. We ask guests to pre-order from our Private a dining Menu or select one of our Tableside Menus that is set for all and involves tableside carving for your main course.
More recently we have introduced private ‘Pressing’ events from 6 guests, where you can enjoy ‘Pressed Pigeon’ for up to 12 guests, or a ‘Pressed Lobster’ party for up to 10 guests. Both these ‘Press’ menus provide our guests with the tableside service synonymous with Otto’s; the slicing and dicing, searing and flaming, squeezing and delivering course after course of melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness. It’s a symphony of food and wine with the crescendo being the pressing of the pigeon or the lobster. It’s an interactive restaurant experience like no other.
This is theatre and you’ll want to enjoy this show over and over again. ‘Otto’s’ will take you to another level of dining. There is an indisputable greatness here; Otto’s is a truly a classic.
