The entire venue is available for exclusive hire, making it the perfect choice for hosting intimate gatherings, special celebrations, corporate events and Christmas parties.

Il Maremmano is an ‘apericena’ bar – a twist on traditional Italian aperitivo by combining aperitivo with cena, meaning dinner, with more substantial dishes than aperitivo, but more casual than dinner.

The bar is versatile and inviting, with a feel of an old Italian bar as soon as you walk in the door. The space draws inspiration from the natural beauty of Tuscany with a decor palette that includes terracotta reds, sea blues, and sage greens, reflecting the Tyrrhenian Sea and the rich olive groves of the region.

The walls are adorned with the bar owner’s personal gig posters, having lived in Brixton for nearly 50 years, as well as symbols of the Maremma. The Tuscan courtyard, under the backdrop of a mural of Baratti Bay, allows for al fresco cocktails and dining during warmer months.

The bar seats up to 22 people or 30 standing.

Il Maremmano specialises in offering a unique private dining experience that blends traditional Tuscan flavours with a contemporary twist. The menu features a variety of substantial small plates, including crostoni with seasonal toppings, homemade pizzette, and stuzzichini – Italian snacks that pair perfectly with a Spritz or Negroni.

Guests can also enjoy the venue’s signature sharing boards, featuring cured meats from the owner’s favourite salumificio in the Maremma and pecorino cheese straight from the hills of the Val d’Orcia, with each dish highlighting the rich culinary traditions of the Maremma region.

Complementing the food menu is a carefully curated selection of Tuscan wines from small, hand-picked, independent producers, as well as signature cocktails, Spritz and a special Negroni menu.

Pricing for private hire at Il Maremmano is on a minimum spend basis tailored to suit individual event requirements, with options starting around £50 per head for a selection of apericena with half bottle of house wine.

The venue is available for private hire Wednesday – Sunday, offering flexibility for a variety of occasions.
