Berenjak Borough takes inspiration from traditional Iranian townhouses found in the rural foothills of the Alborz mountains, which surround the city of Tehran.
Private dining events at Berenjak Borough
A familiar scene occupies the ground floor: an open kitchen, where guests can take a seat at the lively counter and watch all the action, just as they can in Berenjak’s Soho original.
Alternatively, they can ascend to the first floor to find a new Berenjak experience: an Iranian ‘dining room’, where convivial group feasts on large tables are the order of the day.
The menu offers a line-up of celebratory sharing dishes inspired by the large family gatherings of Kian’s childhood, exclusive to Borough: these include Chelow Kabab Chenjeh, a tender lamb fillet kabab served with ta-dig; Baghali Polow ba Mahiche, a traditional feast of lamb shanks with dill and broad bean ta-dig, a favourite at big family celebrations; and Zereshk Pollow, a charcoal rotisserie saffron chicken with sweet and sour barberries and shirazi salad.
A greatly expanded wine list showcases the best of Middle Eastern winemaking. Both emerging and established regions are featured, with wines from Israel, Morocco, Turkey Greece, Georgia, Armenia, and Lebanon’s famous Chateau Musar making the list. Many are sourced from specialist importers and off-the-beaten track suppliers, and the selection offers an eclectic mix of traditional styles and fresh, approachable pours.
