The Sublime Society Room
A tribute to the actors, artists, and songwriters who founded the Sublime Society of Beefsteaks in 18th-century London, this unique space captures the spirit of their legendary gatherings.
Part members’ club, part secret society, the group met weekly to feast on beefsteak and indulge in punch, port, or porter with no French wines allowed. Their revelry soon became so renowned that even the Prince Regent (later King George IV) joined the ranks.
Located within Hawksmoor Guildhall, just a short walk from Bank in the centre of the City of London, this venue is ideal for a variety of events, from business meetings and private dining to family celebrations.
The elegant, wood-paneled private dining room features a grand 22 person dining table, paying homage to the medieval history of The City of London. Equipped with discreet AV technology, including an 86” flat screen, the room is perfect for screenings, presentations, and meetings.
For larger private dining events, The Bar at Hawksmoor Guildhall provides a semi-private dining event space for up to 46 seated guests.
The Dining Room is available to hire exclusively for banqueting events of up to 140 seated guests.
The Bar can accommodate up to 100 standing guests and is perfect for pre and post dining drinks.
Guests can enjoy cocktail receptions on arrival, and choose from three specially curated sharing menus, offering a taste of Hawksmoor’s signature dishes. Wine pairings are available, tailored to complement your selected menu.
