Howies Restaurant has occupied its spot on Aberdeen’s Chapel Street since 1991. Located in the fashionable West End of the city, the restaurant has been a firm favourite with locals and visitors to the city for years.

Scottish, seasonal & seriously tasty, our menus are a celebration of Scotland’s natural larder and local producers. We love to get to know our suppliers on a personal level, working closely with them so we always know where our ingredients come from.

Private dining rooms & restaurant exclusive hire at Howies Restaurant – Aberdeen

If you’re looking for a large space, our main restaurant can host up to 120 people for exclusive use, whilst are two private dining rooms – The Harbour Room and The Game & Garden Room – are perfect for more intimate celebrations or business.

The Harbour Room can accommodate up to 22 people. Inspiration for this room stems from Aberdeen’s rich fishing industry and our passion for working with fresh, locally sourced fish. From haddock sourced from the North Sea, mussels from the shores of the Shetland Isles or our fresh catch that changes daily – you’ll love what we have to offer.

The Game & Garden Room can seat up to 18 people and this room is a celebration of our love of Scottish game and the land. Green and orange hues and quirky finishes adorn the walls. When in season, our venison is sourced from our own estate in Perthshire and we can tell you the exact journey from hill top to table, whilst our pigeon is sourced from the Scottish Borders and fruit and veg comes from just down the road.
