Brigade Bar & Kitchen – Southwark

The Brigade Bar+Kitchen is a vibrant all-day brasserie. Expect innovative takes on British classics, vibrant drinks, and a calendar bursting with activities to participate in, like Feast with Purpose, supper clubs, masterclasses, and tasting events with Beyond Food members, chefs, and customers. 

Enjoy theatrical live wood-fired dishes, some of the country’s best suppliers and ingredients, and curated wine pairings.

The venue can be hired for both large and small events. With a variety of private and semi-private rooms, meeting rooms and other bookable spaces, Brigade will work with you to find the perfect alternative to hold your event.

In addition to the wonderful range of conference and dining rooms, the entire restaurant may be used for large corporate events, and exclusive private hires including weddings.

Private dining is available in all the rooms for both lunch and dinner.

Leadenhall

The Leadenhall, named after the famous Leadenhall Market, is a stunning corner room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the historic buildings of Tooley Street.

Its large round table can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests for a private dinner or meeting. Whether you want to host a client event or you’re simply looking for private dining for you and your friends, The Leadenhall is ideal for an intimate evening away from the lively bar and restaurant downstairs.

Borough

The Borough is perfect for board meetings, lunch, or private dinner, providing enough space to accommodate up to 20 people in a memorable setting.

With plenty of natural light during the day, it is an ideal alternative to stuffy office board rooms, and the charming décor makes it equally fitting for an intimate dinner.

Covent Garden

Our largest meeting room can accommodate up to 30 people for your banquet dinner, or up to 46 standing. Whether you are looking to host a large client event, a product launch, a wedding reception, or a private party, the Covent Garden is the ideal location. Floor-to-ceiling windows on the *east* wall flood the room with light and at the rear, there is the opportunity to open the partition wall into our Cook School kitchen – revealing endless possibilities for a unique spin on your event.

Smithfield

Another famous market lends its name to our Smithfield room, which can comfortably accommodate 6 dining guests.  As with all rooms, Smithfield’s unique character makes it equally suitable for business or pleasure.

Whether you are willing to host an intimate dinner or looking for a private space to organise a client meeting, the Smithfield is a perfect choice for a gathering away from the lively bar and restaurant downstairs.

The Gallery

The Gallery at The Brigade works with the restaurant during the day-to-day running of the restaurant and can also be used as a semi-private area.

It is a perfect space for a private dinner with up to 16 seated guests or a pre-dinner drinks reception. Available to hire during the daytime and evening.

The Library

The Library offers an intimate space for a private dinner, accommodating 8 guests. With plenty of natural light during the day, and the charming décor, surrounded by hundreds of cookbooks collected over the last 10 years makes it equally fitting for a special gathering.

With every delegate rate package you order, £5 will go directly to the Beyond Food Foundation, our charity partner.

The Restaurant

The Brigade Bar + Kitchen’s main restaurant space is the ideal spot for drinks receptions of up to 150 guests or smaller intimate dinners of up to 75 guests.

Available to hire during the daytime and evening and offer fun-filled team building activities such as cookery masterclasses and cocktail making at the bar. Plus, every dish you eat at The Brigade is helping out the homeless community with meaningful and life-changing employment.
