The Groucho Club – Soho

Welcome to The Groucho Club, the illustrious, inimitable, and sometimes infamous private members club in Soho, London.

The first club of its kind to welcome women as equals with a membership drawn from all corners of the creative world. A safe place to work, rest and play for arts, literature, film, music, and media folks who join us in keeping the maverick spirit alive in our little bohemian corner of London.

We are also a very special destination for all types of events, dinners, screenings, product launches, showcases and of course wild parties.

Private dining rooms at The Groucho Club

We have seven distinct Event spaces for any soiree spread across two floors with the club’s impressive Art collection providing an exceptional backdrop to everything. Our versatile rooms can be used in a multitude of different ways to accommodate everything from an intimate tête-à-tête for two to the most raucous rip-roaring gatherings for two hundred – we really do have something for everyone.

Gennaro
The light, airy and stylish Gennaro Room overlooks Dean Street from our Second Floor. This adaptable room is intimate enough for a smaller dinner, large enough for a glitzy party or day to day can accommodate almost any variation of meeting, seminar, workshop, or lunch. The Gennaro Room is also licensed for weddings and civil ceremonies for up to 80 guests.

Carter
Named after our incredibly talented and long serving Art Director, Nicky Carter, the walls of this room are adorned with some incredible pieces from our remarkable art collection – The Carter Room is the perfect place for a relaxed party, drinks reception or one of our infamous long lunches!

Mackintosh
Our intimate Mackintosh room is the perfect location for a smaller group. This cosy space still feels light and open and is a great location for a meeting, small drinks soiree or a beautiful dinner party.

Second Floor
The Gennaro, Carter and Mackintosh all open out into one big space to accommodate large dinners, weddings and parties. The stunning space is perfect for up to 150 standing.

The Snooker Room
The Snooker Room is the hidden jewel of the club – this comfortable and extremely flexible space can accommodate screenings, parties and stunning dining set ups for either lunch or dinner.

Mary Lou
The Mary Lou is located on our first floor and is the perfect entertaining space as it’s complete with its own bar. it’s a beautiful room for formal dining or elegant drinks receptions.

Soho Bar
Normally reserved for members only, the Soho Bar is available for hire on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays – a great location for large gatherings or when used in conjunction with our dining room -is a beautiful space for wedding receptions.

Dining Room
Our Dining room is one of our members’ restaurants, but like the Soho bar is available for private hire on Saturdays. Featuring a gorgeous glass roof and fabulous 1970’s crystal chandelier it is an impressive place for wedding receptions or decadent dinners.

Non-Members are always very welcome to book private events – in fact it is the only way to get through our distinguished doors and walk the hallowed halls of the club without becoming a member yourself – even if it’s just for one night only!
