Waterloo is bordered by the neighbouring South London districts of Wandsworth & Southwark and is located within the South Bank area of London.
Immortalised in The Kinks’ Waterloo Sunset song from 1967, the area is part of the London Borough of Lambeth and has a River Thames frontage which is connected to the Victoria Embankment on the north bank of the river via Waterloo Bridge.
